When the Smell of SOAP Works Its Magic: A Review of Soavissima by Profumum Roma

Since the launch of Memories&Scents, one of my ultimate goals has always been to add Profumum Roma to our collection. A brand rich in beauty, history, and artistry, it captivated me like no other. While many perfume enthusiasts may chase after brands like Xerjoff or Roja, for me, Profumum Roma has always been the pinnacle. So, when they finally agreed to collaborate with Memories&Scents, I couldn't have been more thrilled.

Among the 24 fragrances we received from their collection of 36, I found myself drawn to several iconic scents like Gioiosa, Dulcis in Fundo, Aqua Viva, and Aqua di Sale. Each of these fragrances is extraordinary, but there was one that particularly stood out for its uniqueness—Soavissima.

A Nostalgic Connection: The Soapy Magic

As a child, I had a comforting habit of thumb-sucking, paired with the scent of white Dove soap on my hands. This simple, clean, soapy fragrance became my peaceful moment of calm, shared with my cuddly monkey before I slipped into a world of relaxation. Even now, the scent of that clean, fresh soap still evokes a deep sense of comfort and nostalgia.

The moment I sprayed Soavissima, I was immediately transported back to those moments. The fragrance felt strangely familiar, yet different from anything I’d experienced before. I tend to gravitate toward bold, powerful perfumes—fragrances with intensity and presence. So, Soavissima, with its clean and simple scent, seemed like an unusual choice for me. Could I love something so understated?

Yet, there was no denying its uniqueness. This wasn't just another soapy scent like Prada Homme—this was something on an entirely different level.

By the end of the day, I had fallen completely in love with Soavissima. Its simplicity and clean aura had me captivated, and I found myself eager to wear it again. Though I initially wondered if it was more suited for women, I’ve come to realize that Soavissima transcends gender—it's a fragrance I adore, and that's all that matters.

I’m confident that this scent will earn a permanent spot in my top 10. It’s a beautiful balance of clean, fresh, and sophisticated—a fragrance that leaves a lasting impression and creates an aura of subtle elegance wherever you go.
