Despite its flagship scent, Bois Imperitief, being a solid offering, it just didn’t carry well for me in terms of projection. Though not quite as loud as some of my favorite heavy hitters—like Kajal Homme IV, Mancera Red Tobacco Intense, or Leather Tabac by Zaharoff—Eden Amber had just enough boldness to make me take notice.
Now, let’s get something out of the way right off the bat: Cereal Break? Not for me. Its vibe felt too much like Milano Fragranze Panettone—and if you’ve smelled that, you know it’s an acquired taste. But Eden Amber? Now, that one struck a chord. Imagine the sweet, nostalgic scent of Bubblicious chewing gum—playful and fun. My initial reaction? This might work when I’m in a playful mood, rocking my Bart Simpson or Kermit the Frog t-shirt. It’s got a similar playful edge as Dunhill Icon, but where Icon has a refined, gentlemanly twist, Eden Amber dives headfirst into bubblegum bliss.
Of course, when I told my colleagues that Eden Amber was the only fragrance in the Claudio Zucca line I wanted to give a serious try, they looked at me like I was joking. Everyone agreed: “It smells like gum.” But for those who know me, that was all the more reason to dive in. If the crowd isn’t feeling it, I’m probably going to be all about it.
Later that day, after a long day at work, I headed to the gym with two of those same colleagues who had trashed Eden Amber earlier. Without a word, I sprayed it on. As we left the office and piled into the car, they were hit by the scent trail, both suddenly asking, “What did you just spray on? That smells good.”

When I got home, my wife could still smell it lingering on me a good 3-4 hours later, like a stalker following me around. And even though the scent eventually settled closer to my skin, I still got a solid 6-7 hours of wear from it—enough to make an impression.
This experience was a great reminder that you can’t always judge a fragrance by how it smells on a strip. Eden Ambermay smell like Bubblicious gum, but that’s not a bad thing. On the skin and in the right setting, it’s a fun, playful powerhouse of a scent that can easily stand out. It’s still too early to tell if it’ll break into my top 20, but I’m already considering it as a replacement for one of my tobacco or leather scents, just to add a bit more versatility to my collection.
