 Tonkatonic opens with a sweet, creamy warmth where tonka bean takes center stage. The gourmand nature is undeniable, and when a colleague walked by, they immediately said, “This smells like cherries!” After the drydown, I personally got a cola-like impression – an unexpected yet playful twist. But I must admit, this one is well done. Comes off my skin like a beast. If you want something where your surrounding will smell you, this one performs very well.

 On my skin, the white florals don’t really stand out, making this a perfectly unisex fragrance. I wore it to work during the day, and not only could I smell it all day, but my surroundings also took notice. Later in the evening, when visiting my parents, my sister immediately said, “This smells familiar!” She compared it to Blanche Bete by Les Liquides Imaginaires, and I can see why. However, while Blanche Bete leans more feminine, Tonkatonic has a more balanced, gender-neutral appeal.
