It holds a profound place in my heart, as it marks my journey from a Caribbean immigrant facing exploitation and culture shock to someone who found hope and self-belief through the transformative power of fragrance.
My first scent creation, inspired by the magic and spirit of Manhattan, symbolizes this journey. Despite my tough beginnings and low-paying jobs, the simple act of smelling good, achieved through saving for a bottle of Gucci Pour Homme 2, empowered me and sparked my dream of creating fragrances.
Manhattan, my signature scent, captures the city's enigmatic allure and contrasts, combining bright, fresh bergamot with deep, sensuous notes of incense, tobacco leaf, and vanilla, embodying the city's perpetual energy and endless possibilities.
